Job Description

Family with two school aged children is looking for an engaging after-school care provider in Irvington, NY.

Responsibilities include:

Helping with homework, music practice, and school projects Driving the kids to after-school activities Preparing an afternoon snack and simple dinner Engaging kids with sports, art projects, games, outdoor activities, and conversation

Schedule:

Approximately 16-20 hours per week, depending on availability. Ideally 3-4 afternoons per week (no Fridays), approximately 2-6:00 PM, with some flexibility in terms of number of hours and the start/end time. Additional hours available for weekly weekday date night. We're looking for someone who can commit for the full 2026-27 school year (starting Sept/Oct to June 2027).

Candidate must have:

Prior childcare experience of at least 2 years Enjoys spending time with curious, talkative school-age children Dependable, responsible, and comfortable managing busy afternoons Reliable car for getting to/from our home A family car will be provided for driving the kids to activities.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Application Question(s): Can you commit to the position through June 2027? Are you comfortable driving children to local activities using our family car? Have you worked with children for at least 2 years? Which afternoons are you available from 2-6pm? (There is flexibility on the end time, we are open to one later night for additional hours).
