Location:
Manhasset, Long Island, New York, with occasional travel
Schedule:
Part-time; exact long-term schedule to be discussed Immediate need: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM initially Start date: Immediate Responsibilities include but not limited to: Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the newborn Soothe the baby, assist with naps, and provide occasional bottle-feeding support when the mother is unavailable Prioritize the newborn's safety and well-being at all times by following current infant safety guidelines, including safe sleep practices, and exercising sound judgment in all aspects of care. Change diapers and maintain proper infant hygiene Follow established routines and parental preferences Perform light baby-related housekeeping, including washing bottles and keeping the nursery organized Work collaboratively with other household staff in a team-oriented environment Occasionally assist with the family's two older children, ages 8 and 10, when needed Accompany the family on select trips, providing consistent care and support while traveling and maintaining routines as much as possible in new locations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of recent, verifiable experience caring for newborns and infants in a private home. Extensive knowledge of newborn care, including feeding, sleep routines, developmental milestones, and infant safety. Previous experience in a private residence; experience in a high-profile or fully staffed household is a plus. Comfortable working collaboratively with parents, household staff, and other caregivers. Willingness and ability to travel with the family, including occasional overnight travel. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred Excellent, verifiable professional references from previous families. Professional, dependable, discreet, and committed to maintaining confidentiality. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from Manhasset. Non-smoker. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Willing to successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
