All About the Job Family Concierge is partnering with a private family in Rochester's Cobbs Hill neighborhood to find a part-time Infant-Toddler Nanny for their sweet 14-month-old daughter. This is a 2.5-day role with sole-charge care. The child is social, curious, and quick to warm to new people. Her days follow a settled rhythm, kept screen-free, and full of hands-on play. Her parents are looking forward to welcoming a nanny who will share in her love of reading the early childhood classics, take her on stroller walks throughout Rochester's verdant Cobbs Hill and Highland Park neighborhoods, and host only the finest picnics and tea parties for her teddy bear crew. Both parents work from home, and are intentionally crafting this role to carry real autonomy for a true partner in care who can thrive without too much active supervision or "hand-holding." The parents' home office arrangement is on its own floor, allowing whomever stepping into this role to lead with sound judgment and creative thinking. The household values openness, candor, and clear communication; a serious, reliable professional who approaches their career with a "growth mindset" will be successful in this role. The schedule holds steady across Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with family travel already covered by grandparents, so the work stays consistent and centered on the child. What You'll Do Provide engaged, screen-free care throughout the day Hold a steady daily rhythm: two naps (about 45 to 90 minutes each), lunch, and one or two snacks Read aloud daily and follow along with the pretend play she enjoys Get her outside often, arriving with ideas for sensory play and neighborhood walks Plan developmentally appropriate activities that build language, motor, and social skills as she moves from cruising to walking Prepare age-appropriate meals and snacks throughout the day Keep open, honest communication with both parents Notice and share the milestones worth marking Who We're Looking For You are an experienced infant and toddler caregiver who genuinely enjoys this age and prefers a day spent fully engaged with one child rather than watching the clock. You bring routine without rigidity, read a baby's cues with ease, and can easily adapt to the daily flow as the child grows. Beyond the experience, the right fit brings: A growth mindset and superior communication skills Reliability and dedication to cultivating a long-term partnership with Baby Girl and the family Comfort giving and receiving feedback, and full accountability for the day A self-directed, intentional presence; the ideal fit confidently owns the role without needing constant parental reassurance A screen-free instinct and a genuine love of reading and pretend play Strong developmental knowledge and confidence with meal and snack preparation Initiative, arriving with ideas and a desire for true partnership with this incredible family Standard for our placements: Infant and Pediatric CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain), reliable transportation, and a sincere intention to make a long-term commitment to the family. Why You'll Love This Job This is a part time role that respects both your time and your experience. The hours are steady and the pay is guaranteed, and the work itself rewards genuine skill: one child at a delightful age, in a household that trusts its nanny to lead and welcomes her ideas. The family is communicative and consistent, the days are unhurried and screen-free, and the right person will find a long-term home here. We see this as a genuine fit for a seasoned early childhood professional seeking their next great family, in a home where you will be valued and respected.
