September 2026 A first-time mom and physician is seeking an experienced, dependable nanny to care for her infant daughter beginning this September. This is a long-term position with a minimum one-year commitment, ideal for a nanny who genuinely enjoys caring for infants and values building a lasting relationship with one family. As a physician, Mom's schedule occasionally requires early mornings, extended days, and infrequent on-call responsibilities. Candidates who understand the unique demands of medical careers; and appreciate the importance of reliability, flexibility, and clear communication, are especially encouraged to apply.
Schedule Guaranteed Hours:
40-50 hours per week
Days :
Monday-Friday Typical Hours:
Most workdays fall between 8:00 AM and 3:00-4:00 PM; occasionally, you may need to stay later if a case is running late or Mom is in meetings. This will be communicated.
Early Start Days:
Every other Monday and every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The day begins around 6:30 AM due to Mom's operating room schedule. Every other Monday and every Thursday would start at 8: 00 am (to allow office to start at 8:30)
Additional Scheduling Needs Overnight Coverage:
Overnight care may be needed when Mom is on call (every Monday). A private bedroom is provided, and overnight hours are compensated separately.
Weekend Coverage:
Approximately one weekend every 4-5 weeks, Mom will round at the hospital for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday with possibility of emergencies. Flexibility for this occasional coverage is appreciated. An on-call weekend stipend will be paid for these weekends, regardless of whether care is ultimately needed. The family understands that physician schedules can be unconventional and will provide schedules as far in advance as possible whenever available. About the Child You'll primarily care for one sweet infant who will be approximately two months old when the position begins. Mom plans to continue breastfeeding and values a nanny who is attentive, communicative, and willing to learn her daughter's routines and preferences as they evolve.
Providing attentive, nurturing infant care Supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate interaction Preparing and washing bottles Baby laundry Keeping the nursery and play areas organized Light daily vacuuming of baby play spaces Following established feeding and nap routines Maintaining open communication with Mom throughout the day As the baby grows, outings to parks, libraries, and other child-friendly activities will be encouraged. The nanny will use their own vehicle, and the family will provide a car seat and mileage reimbursement.
