Job Description

Job duties: Classroom Support — Assist lead teachers with daily activities, transitions, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Child Supervision — Monitor children during play, meals, rest time, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement. Activity Assistance — Help prepare, set up, and clean up crafts, learning centers, and group activities. Behavior Guidance — Support children in resolving conflicts, following routines, and practicing social skills using positive reinforcement. Meal & Snack Support — Distribute food, assist children with eating, and follow allergy or dietary guidelines. Hygiene & Care — Help with handwashing, toileting support, diaper changes (if applicable), and maintaining cleanliness. Safety Monitoring — Follow safety procedures, report concerns, and maintain secure play areas. Cleaning & Sanitizing — Sanitize toys, surfaces, and equipment; help maintain an organized classroom. Communication Support — Relay observations to lead teachers and assist with basic parent communication when appropriate. Program Support — Help implement daily schedules, support curriculum goals, and contribute to a positive center culture. Outdoor Play Assistance — Supervise playground activities, encourage safe exploration, and assist with transitions in and out of the building. Emotional Support — Comfort children, help them regulate emotions, and foster a warm, nurturing environment.
Pay:
$12.00 - $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
