Job Description

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week guaranteed; 10 hours of weekly overtime)
Ideal Start Date:
Immediate / Temporary intensive support starting May 20th, transitioning into a long-term permanent role.
Job Overview:
Jovie of Edmond is seeking a polished, proactive, full-time Career Nanny to join a fast-paced, highly structured household. This role begins as a vital Mother's Helper position while mom recovers from an upcoming medical procedure. Because mom will have a strict 10-pound lifting restriction for the first six weeks, you will step in as her "hands and feet"—handling the physical lifting of her happy baby boy, while working collaboratively alongside mom and her weekday personal assistant. The family is looking for a long-term professional who views nanny work as a true career.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Infant Care & Development:
Complete daily care for the infant, including managing a predictable two-nap schedule, diapering, and floor-based play. The ideal candidate will use play to actively teach and engage the baby.
Collaborative Team Environment:
Partner seamlessly with mom and her weekday assistant. This is a fully staffed home that operates smoothly through open communication and structure.
Meal Prep & Solid Feeding:
Manage the infant's solid food schedule (transitioning to 3 meals a day under parental direction) using pre-made frozen purees, blending fruits with formula, and managing clean-up.
Household Support & Logistics:
Assist the family unit with errands, grocery runs, and maintaining organization in the nursery and main living areas. (
Note:
The family employs a dedicated housekeeping team, so deep cleaning is not required).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Value Alignment & Respectful Environment:
Must be comfortable and supportive of a Christian household where Christian music plays and Bible stories are read. The family values a candidate who respects family structures, focuses on the positive, and possesses a mature, respectful disposition over an immodest or overly casual attitude.
Objective & Solution-Oriented:
The ideal candidate will thrive under clear, process-driven leadership. Mom has an analytical, logical approach to household operations and values direct, clear communication.
Professional Boundaries & Discretion:
The caregiver should be comfortable navigating high-end environments, and premium service venues with poise and quiet discretion. Candidates should maintain a highly presentable appearance.
Inclusive Mindset:
The household includes individuals with differing points of view, viewing distinct perspectives as normal rather than adversarial. The nanny should be someone who respects differing viewpoints and keeps the focus entirely on professional care. Minimum Requirements (Jovie Agency Standards):
Age Limit:
Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Work Authorization:
Must show proof of citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
Experience & References:
Minimum of 2 years of professional, verifiable childcare, babysitting, or nanny experience. Must be able to provide 2-3 professional, non-family references.
Education:
Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
Transportation:
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ownership of a reliable, personally insured vehicle.
Health & Safety:
Certified non-smoker. Must be CPR and First Aid certified (or fully willing to complete the certification training program prior to your first official assignment).
Vetting & Background:
Must pass a mandatory, rigorous national background check conducted by an accredited provider (covering state, county, federal criminal history, and predator databases). Must be willing to comply with agency onboarding requirements, including mandatory orientation sessions.
Job Benefits:
Benefits package for fulltime employees
Job Certifications:
CPR and FA Qualifications:
High School or greater, 2 years + infant care
