This leadership role is ideal for an experienced educator who values collaboration, operational excellence, and building strong relationships with families and staff. As the Center Director, you will oversee daily operations, ensure licensing compliance, support classroom quality, and create a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, engaged, and empowered to explore. We're looking for a leader who is organized, adaptable, coachable, and willing to step into classrooms when needed to support the team. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff through coaching, professional development, and ongoing guidance Oversee daily center operations, including enrollment, staffing, scheduling, and parent communication Ensure full compliance with state licensing regulations, health policies, and safety standards Maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff Monitor classroom quality and curriculum implementation to ensure engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences Conduct staff evaluations, manage performance expectations, and foster a collaborative team culture Build strong partnerships with families by maintaining open and professional communication regarding children's progress and needs Maintain accurate records for licensing, attendance, staff credentials, incident reports, and compliance documentation Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratio coverage and support smooth daily operations Identify opportunities for program improvement and contribute ideas that strengthen the center's culture and quality Qualifications Experience in childcare management, preschool administration, or early childhood education leadership required Background in education administration or program leadership strongly preferred Experience in higher education, teaching, or staff training is a plus Strong understanding of childcare licensing regulations, health standards, and safety procedures Proven ability to lead teams while maintaining high standards of care and education Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Reliable, flexible, and willing to provide classroom support when staffing needs arise Coachable mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and collaborate What We're Looking For We're searching for a leader who leads by example, communicates with empathy and professionalism, and believes in creating a positive culture for both children and staff.
