Overview Join our dedicated team as a Child Care Aide and play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children. In this rewarding position, you will assist lead teachers and caregivers in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your enthusiasm and compassion will help foster positive growth, social skills, and early childhood development. Duties Support classroom activities by assisting with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times for infants and toddlers Engage children with age-appropriate educational games, activities, and play to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Maintain a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform teaching staff Support behavior management strategies by encouraging positive interactions and guiding children through conflicts or challenges Assist with classroom management tasks such as organizing materials, setting up learning stations, and preparing supplies for activities Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure any concerns regarding child safety or well-being are promptly communicated to appropriate authorities Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to ensure immediate response to emergencies Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, children, and families Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and support various age groups from infants to preschoolers Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive!
