Duties include:
Assisting with the daily routines, including helping with breakfast, getting ready for daycare/activities/school, driving the child to and from daycare/activities/school, doctor's appointments, and extracurricular activities, preparing snacks and lunchboxes, cooking dinner, and bathing. Tending to the general and basic needs of the child while providing supervision to ensure their safety in day-to-day activities. Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities—including free play, arts and crafts, games, math, and reading. In case of illness or injury, providing the necessary medical attention, for example, closely monitoring the child's symptoms and health concerns, taking their temperature, checking blood glucose readings, and administering medications, including providing medication injections, as directed. Collaborating closely with the parents, healthcare providers, and daycare/activities/school personnel to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Instructing the child on proper health and personal care habits, such as diet, exercise, and toilet behavior; assisting as needed. Assigning chores as appropriate to teach the child responsibility, self-control, and self-confidence. Creating a safe environment for the child by removing hazards and enforcing appropriate boundaries. Performing housekeeping tasks related to the child's care, such as cooking, doing laundry, folding clothes, and doing the dishes. Cleaning up (vacuum/sweep/wipe down) areas that the child utilizes. Organizing the child's closet, drawers, and toys. Duties are subject to change as the child grows. Requires a High School Diploma, or GED, or a foreign equivalent. Must be willing to live on-site with the family. Change of work location to a different MSA within the U.S. may happen with limited prior notice. No domestic or international travel is required.
