Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. At least 2 years (2,500 hours) of documented experience working with children —babysitting counts! Must meet the minimum DHS qualification of Assistant Group Supervisor . Experience leading or developing group/classroom activities is strongly preferred .
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, turn, and move objects up to 30 lbs independently; for anything over 30 lbs, you'll have assistance. Able to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time . Quick to respond in case of emergencies . Physically capable of assisting in the safe management of children . Willing and able to participate in activities requiring: Running, Walking, Kneeling, Lifting, Squatting, Reaching, and more. Normal range of hearing and vision required.
Other Requirements:
Must submit applications for the following clearances prior to employment: PA State Police Criminal Clearance PA Child Abuse History Clearance FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (If applicable) Department of Aging FBI Clearance for those new to PA in the last 5 years. Must sign a Criminal History & Child Abuse Disclosure Statement upon hire. Clearances must be renewed every 5 years . If you've lived outside PA in the last 5 years, clearances from those states are also required before employment. Submit a health assessment upon hire and every two years thereafter .
