This dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to lead licensing inspections, monitor adherence to regulatory standards, and support child care providers in maintaining excellence. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help foster safe, nurturing environments for children while ensuring all licensing requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections of licensed child care centers to verify compliance with state and federal regulations, including health, safety, staffing, and facility standards Review documentation related to licensing applications, renewals, and compliance reports to ensure accuracy and completeness Provide guidance and technical assistance to child care providers regarding licensing procedures, regulations, and best practices Monitor ongoing compliance through regular site visits, audits, and follow-up communications Collaborate with regulatory agencies, community partners, and stakeholders to promote continuous improvement in child care quality Maintain detailed records of inspections, violations, corrective actions, and licensing status using specialized database systems Lead training sessions or informational meetings for providers on updates to licensing policies or new regulatory requirements Experience Proven experience in licensing or regulatory compliance within the child care or early childhood education sector Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing licensed child care facilities Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple inspections simultaneously Experience in research and data analysis to identify trends or areas for improvement in compliance efforts Familiarity with quality assurance practices and continuous improvement strategies in regulated environments Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders including providers, government agencies, and community organizations Background in chemistry, manufacturing & controls (CMC), FDA regulations, or clinical trials is a plus for understanding safety standards; however, a strong foundation in compliance management and quality assurance is essential for success in this role Join us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children by ensuring safe and high-quality child care services.
