We partner with local schools to provide high-quality before and afterschool programming in a fun, engaging, club-style environment with a focus on STEAM-based learning. The Program Manager is a flexible, hands-on leadership position responsible for providing operational support across multiple Campus Adventures locations. This individual serves as a reliable resource wherever the need is greatest - stepping into programs during staff absences, serving as an interim Site Director during vacancies, assisting with classroom coverage, and helping ensure programs remain safe, compliant, fully staffed, and operational. This is a field-based position that requires regular travel between Campus Adventures program locations to provide staffing coverage, deliver supplies, and respond to operational needs. The Program Manager also oversees the organization, security, inventory, and distribution of program supplies. This is not a traditional office-based management position. The ideal candidate enjoys being in the field, can quickly adapt to changing priorities, and is willing to step into whatever role is needed to support successful program operations. Program & Site Coverage Provide coverage at before and afterschool programs when Site Directors, Teachers, or other program staff are absent. Temporarily assume Site Director responsibilities when a site has a leadership vacancy. Travel between assigned campuses based on daily operational needs. Step into classrooms and directly supervise children when needed. Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and ensure appropriate supervision at all times. Implement daily programming, curriculum, activities, and established program routines. Help maintain an environment that is positive, educational, engaging, and fun for students. Respond quickly and professionally to unexpected staffing or operational needs. Interim Site Leadership Oversee the daily operation of the assigned program. Provide direction, coaching, and support to program staff. Ensure staff follow company policies and program expectations. Maintain accurate attendance, program, and required regulatory records. Communicate professionally with families and school personnel. Address parent, student, staffing, and operational concerns in a timely and solution-focused manner. Ensure the site meets health, safety, licensing, and company requirements. Maintain a professional and positive representation of Campus Adventures. Supply & Inventory Management Maintain possession and security of keys/access to designated supply storage areas. Keep supply storage areas clean, organized, and easily accessible. Receive, organize, and maintain program and curriculum supplies. Monitor inventory levels and identify items that need to be replenished. Prepare and distribute supplies to program sites. Deliver supplies and materials to campuses as needed. Respond to reasonable emergency or last-minute supply needs. Maintain accountability for supplies leaving and returning to storage. Help minimize unnecessary purchases, waste, and duplicate ordering. Work with Site Directors to anticipate upcoming curriculum and program supply needs. Students & Safety Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children when providing program coverage. Follow positive guidance and behavior-management practices. Maintain developmentally appropriate activities and expectations. Inspect program areas and materials for safety concerns. Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and organized program spaces. Follow all company, school, and applicable state childcare requirements. School & Family Relationships Provide exceptional customer service to families, school personnel, and community partners. Build positive relationships with children, families, campus staff, and Campus Adventures employees. Communicate program concerns to the appropriate leadership team member. When serving as interim Site Director, communicate directly with families and school administrators regarding site Remain professional, courteous, and solution-focused when representing Campus Adventures. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree in education, child development, business, or a Previous experience working with school-age children required. Previous leadership, Site Director, childcare management, or program management experience strongly preferred. Must meet or be able to meet applicable childcare licensing requirements for serving in a Director capacity. Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification. Must successfully complete required background checks and fingerprinting. Knowledge of childcare Minimum Standards and applicable program regulations preferred. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Must be dependable, flexible, and comfortable with changing daily assign Travel is required. Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation and be able to travel between Campus Adventures program locations throughout the workday. Must be able to transport program supplies and materials between sites as needed. Ability to safely lift and transport program supplies and equipment up to 40 lbs. Schedule & Availability Because this position is designed to respond to operational needs across multiple programs, flexibility and travel are essential functions of the role. The Program Manager must be available Monday through Friday and able to provide coverage during both before-school and afterschool program hours as assigned. Current program hours may include approximately 5:45-8:00 AM and 3:00-6:30 PM, depending on campus needs.
