We are currently in the final stages of becoming a licensed Family Child Care provider in Maryland and are seeking an experienced Childcare Center Consultant to help us launch strong, operate effectively, and grow sustainably. Position Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Childcare Consultant to guide the successful startup and early operations of our childcare program. This role will support leadership in building a compliant, high-quality, and mission-aligned childcare environment. Key Responsibilities Enrollment & Growth Develop and implement enrollment strategies to reach capacity (up to 8 children) Advise on parent outreach, marketing, and retention strategies Pricing & Financial Structure Recommend competitive and sustainable tuition pricing models Align pricing with nonprofit mission and local market conditions Staff Supervision & Training Provide guidance on staff roles, expectations, and accountability Develop onboarding and training processes aligned with Maryland standards Coach staff to meet professional and operational expectations Licensing & Compliance Ensure full compliance with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Child Care regulations Prepare for inspections and maintain ongoing regulatory readiness Support
