This is an independent contractor opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and capable of providing a safe, nurturing, structured, and professional childcare environment.
COMPENSATION
Guaranteed minimum compensation of $1,000 per month Opportunity to earn 60% of the program's monthly net operating profit Increased earning potential as enrollment and program revenue grow Long-term opportunity for the right individual The center currently charges $250 per child per week and is licensed to serve up to six children. Profit-sharing compensation will be calculated from tuition collected after approved program operating expenses. Complete compensation terms will be documented in a written agreement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the program's daily childcare operations Provide attentive, age-appropriate care and supervision Plan educational, recreational, and developmental activities Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment Communicate professionally with parents and guardians Maintain attendance, enrollment, incident, and other required records Prepare or serve meals and snacks in accordance with program requirements Support enrollment, parent retention, and program growth Maintain compliance with applicable Maryland childcare requirements Protect the privacy of children, families, staff, and the ministry Follow established safety, conduct, and program policies
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience Ability to satisfy all applicable Maryland childcare licensing and background-screening requirements CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification Dependable, patient, organized, attentive, and trustworthy Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records Comfortable working in a ministry-affiliated, family-centered environment Early childhood education credentials are strongly preferred
SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday during the childcare program's established operating hours. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview.
