As an opener, you will be responsible for preparing the classroom, verifying safety protocols, and establishing positive relationships with children and staff from the moment the center opens. Responsibilities Open the center promptly each morning, ensuring all safety checks are completed before children arrive Prepare classrooms with age-appropriate materials and activities that promote childhood development and learning Conduct safety inspections, including playground checks and equipment sanitation, in compliance with mandated reporting laws and health standards Greet children, parents, and staff warmly, establishing positive relationships from the start of the day Monitor children's behavior and provide support with caregiving, behavior management, and classroom management strategies Follow all early childhood education guidelines to support infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and special education needs when applicable Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment to ensure a safe space for all children Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong classroom experience including behavior management techniques and classroom management skills Ability to work early mornings reliably with excellent punctuality and professionalism Join us in creating a joyful start to every child's day!
