Job Description

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for our infant son. This position is Monday through Friday, approximately 5-6 hours per day. Specific hours, schedule, and compensation will be determined based on candidate availability and experience. About the Position The primary responsibility is providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for our son, who will be approximately 5 months old at the start of employment. One parent works from home and will be available throughout the day for feedings and occasional support as needed. Primary Responsibilities Provide attentive and nurturing care for one infant Engage in age-appropriate play and developmental activities Support developmental milestones through interactive learning and exploration Manage naps and maintain a consistent daily routine Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment Communicate regularly with parents regarding naps, activities, and milestones Secondary Responsibilities (child-related tasks only), including : Washing, folding, and putting away baby laundry Cleaning and sanitizing bottles, feeding supplies, and toys Maintaining organization of the nursery and baby play areas Light cleanup associated with daily childcare activities
Required Qualifications :
Non-smoker Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Comfortable around dogs (we have two friendly dogs though they can be loud when deliveries arrive) Infant CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification before employment begins) Up-to-date on recommended vaccinations, including Tdap and annual influenza vaccination Genuine passion for childcare and early childhood development Clean criminal background (background check required) Prior experience caring for infants Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to provide at least two professional or childcare-related references
Preferred Qualifications :
Bilingual (any language) Degree or coursework in child development, early childhood education, psychology, education, nursing, or a related field Experience supporting infant developmental milestones Previous nanny, daycare, preschool, newborn care, or pediatric healthcare experience
Employment Details :
Position will be classified as a W-2 employee. Payroll will be managed through a household payroll service, including direct deposit and applicable tax withholding. Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and schedule requirements. Paid federal holidays 10 paid vacation days (plus a week off around Christmas/New Years based on parent's employer's schedule) 5 paid sick days
