Job Description

Job Summary The Academy Director will combine Early Childhood Education experience with business management skills to manage all aspects of a child care facility. To accomplish this, the Director will lead, mentor and support a staff of qualified teachers and administrators in the implementation of Kiddie Academy's programs and center-based learning. The individual will also oversee financial aspects of the Academy relation to enrollment, payroll, and other fixed costs. The Director builds exceptional relationships of trust and support with enrolled families in alignment with the Kiddie Academy's belief that Community Begins Here. Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership to the child care center, setting high standards for educational quality, safety, and child well-being. Supervise and support teaching staff, ensuring effective classroom management and implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula. Oversee daily operations, including enrollment, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety protocols. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians, addressing concerns promptly and building trusting relationships. Ensure all staff are trained in first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, childhood development instruction, and behavior management strategies. Monitor classroom environments to promote inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs; coordinate with specialists as needed. Manage staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development to maintain a motivated team. Requirements Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Demonstrated classroom management skills along with experience in daycare center operations and early childhood education. Knowledge of child development principles, preschool curriculum planning, and caregiving best practices. Certifications in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and familiarity with mandated reporting laws are required. Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Previous experience as a Director of a licensed child care facility Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining compliance with licensing standards and safety regulations.
Pay:
$44,936.75 - $64,117.37 per year
