Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our Montessori education programs. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can thrive and develop essential skills. Your leadership will ensure that our childcare services meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and innovation. As a Child Care Director, you will coordinate staff, manage daily operations, and foster positive relationships with families to promote a welcoming community dedicated to early childhood growth and learning. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with childhood development principles and early childhood education standards. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality classroom experiences and professional growth. Oversee daily operations of the childcare center, including enrollment, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations. Manage classroom environments to promote safety, inclusivity, and active learning for children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Coordinate training sessions on topics such as first aid, behavior management, special education strategies, and working with children with disabilities. Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication, updates on child progress, and addressing concerns promptly. Ensure all staff hold necessary certifications such as first aid and CPR; maintain accurate records of staff qualifications and training. Promote a positive team culture focused on caregiving excellence, classroom management, and continuous improvement in early childhood practices. Experience Proven experience working directly with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom management and curriculum development. Prior leadership experience as a childcare director or supervisor in early childhood education environments. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices for working with infants through preschoolers. Familiarity with licensing requirements for childcare centers and experience ensuring compliance with state regulations. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs; training in special education strategies is highly desirable. Strong background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that showcase your ability to nurture young children effectively. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff members, families, and community partners effectively. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
