Part-time, Split-shift Family Assistant/Nanny Houston Heights area - Experienced Nannyland Houston, TX Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Driver's License Full Job Description Part-time Family Assistant The Heights (Houston) A warm, organized family in The Heights is seeking a reliable, flexible Family Assistant to support two school‑age children (ages 5 and 8). This is a part‑time, split‑shift role ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, can manage transportation to activities, and appreciates clear expectations. Location The Heights, Houston Schedule & Hours Part‑time: Monday 3-6; Tuesday 4-8; Wednesday 3-6; Thursday 4-8 Travel weeks: Flexibility for morning when one of the parents has work travel.
Split shift role:
Morning support (as needed): light household reset after kids leave for school Afternoon support: school pickup and transportation to extracurricular activities Flexibility is required, as schedules may vary week to week Start date: July 13th Children Two children, ages 5 and 8 Active with after‑school sports and activities No homework support required Responsibilities School pickup and drop‑off Driving children to and from extracurricular activities Supervision at extra curricular activities Preparing and serving snacks; heating pre‑prepared meals (no cooking required) Light kitchen and dining cleanup related to children Tidying common areas used by the kids Occasional dog walking (family has one dog) Supporting routines when one parent is traveling (rare evening support) Requirements Must have own reliable vehicle Clean driving record Valid driver's license Comfortable driving children regularly Comfortable with dogs Strong references (2-3) Must pass background checks (criminal, DMV, etc.) Compensation $20/hour Additional perks may include gas stipend, small discretionary reimbursements, wellness stipend, PTO, etc. Ideal Candidate Warm, playful, and engaging with children Firm but kind; able to set boundaries without harshness Reliable, punctual, and communicative Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules Takes initiative while respecting family preferences College student, grad student, or early‑career professional welcome to apply How to
