Job Description

Responsible for the care of children in the nursery during church services and church functions. Children's ages range primarily from infants to 2 years old, but up to age 4. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma/GED Must have a satisfactory background check Must be able to lift 25 pounds Required Skills Basic understanding of the care of babies and small children. Must be patient and loving with good nurturing skills. Upon hire you will be required to pass the Safe Gatherings Certification and be certified in infant CPR. Supervision and Accountability Would, in the following order, be supervised and accountable to the: 1) Children and Youth Ministry Director 2) Senior Pastor 3) Staff Parish Relations Committee Duties and Responsibilities 1) Care of babies and preschool children during Sunday morning church activities and some special functions, as needed. 2) Nursery must be inviting for children and parents. 3) Must keep the nursery area safe. 4) Nursery must be sanitary especially in the diaper changing area and restroom. 5) Nursery must have procedures of security to ensure children are placed in the care of the correct guardian when being picked up from nursery. 6) Keep records on each child in the nursery with contact information, health conditions and any special needs. 7) Additional hours will be available for some holidays and special events. 8) Maintain Safe Gatherings Certification and First Aid/CPR certification. 9) Other duties as required.
Schedule:
Sundays, 9:30am-12:30pm, 3 hours weekly. Possible additional hours available. Three out of four Sundays a month required. Entitled to one unpaid Sunday off a month if needed. Non exempt, part-time, $15.00 per hour
