Role:
The Childcare Classroom Floater plays a vital role in supporting the dynamic needs of multiple classrooms within a childcare setting. This position ensures that all children receive attentive care, supervision, and educational support by flexibly moving between classrooms as needed. The floater helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. By collaborating closely with lead teachers and staff, the floater contributes to the smooth operation of daily activities and transitions. Ultimately, this role is essential in providing consistent quality care and fostering a positive experience for children and their families.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting. Basic knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities. Ability to pass background checks and meet state childcare licensing requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in CPR and First Aid. Formal training or coursework in early childhood education. Experience working with children of multiple age groups. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom environments and needs. Bilingual skills or experience working with diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and care for children across various classrooms, adapting to different age groups and developmental stages. Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, including educational lessons, playtime, meals, and rest periods. Support the implementation of daily schedules and routines to ensure consistency and structure for children.
