Childcare Staff The Learning Center - Longview, TX - 1.0 Longview, TX Job Details Part-time From $9.50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Childcare Full Job Description The Learning Center is a Christian-based daycare that offers children opportunities to play, learn, and grow while learning to socially engage and develop fundamental skills and knowledge. TLC is dedicated to helping children discover their individuality and encourage self-expression. We are looking for a Daycare Classroom Aide to assist 2 PM-5:30 PM. Pay rate is contingent on experience. Responsibilities Assist teachers with daily classroom activities Follow a schedule of teaching plans Provide basic caregiving activities Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, hands-on activities, indoor/outdoor games, drawing, etc) to enhance the child's abilities Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action Collaborate with other colleagues Adhere to standards and safety regulations as established by The Learning Center Required Skills Must be willing to be CPR certified, if not already Must pass background check Patience, flexibility, and love for children Strong communication and time management skills Preferred Skills Experience working in a licensed childcare facility preferred
