Childcare Floater/Driver 2850 Colonial Lakes Drive, Missouri City, TX 77459 Up to $12 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Up to $12 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Childcare Floater/Driver to join our dedicated team. This versatile role combines childcare responsibilities with safe and reliable transportation, ensuring children's needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. As a Childcare Floater/Driver, you will provide flexible support across various settings, including daycare centers, preschool programs, and private homes, while also safely transporting children to and from activities. Your energetic approach and commitment to childhood development will help create a nurturing environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn. Responsibilities Assist with childcare duties across multiple classroms, including supervising playtime, engaging in educational activities, and supporting daily routines. Safely transport children to appointments, activities, or outings while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met with kindness and patience. Support classroom or activity-based learning by implementing age-appropriate educational activities and behavior management strategies. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring children closely, conducting safety checks, and responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and staff to communicate children's progress and address individual needs effectively. Assist with light housekeeping related to childcare tasks such as cleaning toys, organizing supplies, or preparing snacks. Qualifications High school Completed Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and developmental activities. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for young children. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving children safely is essential. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and a positive attitude.
