Job Description
Child Care Director 545 FM 2977 Rd, Richmond, TX 77469 Full-time Full-time Infinite Learning Academy is seeking a strong operational leader to serve as Center Director. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staff performance, program quality, parent experience, and overall culture of the center. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of independently managing a fast-paced childcare environment while maintaining high standards for safety, learning, professionalism, and customer service. This is not a passive administrative role. The Center Director is expected to actively lead the center, anticipate operational needs, hold staff accountable, and ensure consistent execution across all classrooms and programs. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee daily center operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient functioning Proactively identify and resolve operational issues before escalation Ensure classrooms are fully prepared, staffed, and operational each day Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards and center policies Coordinate schedules, staffing coverage, and classroom transitions Ensure the center remains organized, visually presentable, and parent-ready at all time Staff Leadership & Accountability Supervise, coach, and support teachers and support staff Hold staff accountable for performance expectations, professionalism, and classroom quality Conduct regular classroom walkthroughs and provide performance feedback Address performance concerns promptly and professionally Ensure staff complete lesson plans, daily documentation, parent communication, and required tasks on time Foster a positive, team-oriented culture centered around accountability and child development Program Quality Monitor classroom instruction and learning environments to ensure quality and consistency Ensure lesson plans and educational activities are implemented effectively Support curriculum execution and age-appropriate learning experiences Maintain organized classrooms, materials, and educational displays
- Ensure classrooms align with licensing, safety, and quality standards Parent & Family Experience Maintain a warm, professional, and solution-oriented environment for families Ensure consistent communication with parents through center communication systems Address parent concerns professionally and promptly Support family engagement events, activities, and center initiatives Help maintain strong family trust and satisfaction through reliable leadership and communication Planning & Administrative Management Maintain operational calendars, deadlines, and center planning systems Coordinate events, field trips, staff meetings, and center activities Monitor inventory, supplies, and operational needs Submit required reports, documentation, and compliance items on time Utilize childcare management systems such as Procare or Playground effectively•Qualifications Previous childcare management or center leadership experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Demonstrated ability to lead staff accountability and operational systems Knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing standards preferred High school diploma required; CDA, Director Credential, or Early Childhood coursework preferred•Ideal Candidate Traits The ideal candidate: Takes initiative without waiting for direction Leads with professionalism and consistency Is calm under pressure and highly dependable Communicates clearly with staff and families Notices operational gaps and resolves them proactively Holds high standards while maintaining a supportive environment Understands that leadership includes accountability, follow-through, and ownership Performance Expectations Success in this role will be measured by: Classroom readiness and program quality Staff accountability and consistency Parent satisfaction and communication Operational organization and follow-through Compliance and safety standards Ability to independently manage daily center operations Work Environment This position requires active movement throughout the center, engagement with staff and families, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously in a childcare environment.
