Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Child Care Administrator to lead and oversee the daily operations of a licensed childcare facility. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children while maintaining compliance with licensing regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for early childhood development, strong management skills, and experience in managing staff and budgets. As a Licensed Child Care Administrator, you will play a key role in fostering a positive community atmosphere that promotes growth, safety, and learning for every child. Responsibilities Manage the overall operation of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and organizational policies. Supervise staff including teachers, caregivers, and support personnel to ensure high-quality care and educational standards. Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to each child's developmental needs, including those requiring special attention such as children with developmental disabilities or special health needs. Oversee daily activities, including curriculum planning, safety protocols, and behavioral management strategies. Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, incident reports, health documentation, and licensing compliance. Handle budgeting responsibilities including payroll, supplies procurement, and expense tracking to ensure financial sustainability. Foster strong relationships with families by providing regular communication about their child's progress and well-being. Coordinate staff training on topics such as Alzheimer's care (for older children or special needs populations), dementia care awareness (if applicable), medication administration protocols, and emergency procedures. Ensure the facility maintains a safe environment through regular inspections and adherence to health standards. Lead community outreach initiatives to promote the center's services within the local area. Experience Proven management experience in licensed child care centers or similar early childhood education settings. Extensive knowledge of assisted living environments, nursing home experience, or home & community care is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special health needs enhances your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with memory care practices such as Alzheimer's care and dementia care strategies is advantageous. Strong background in creating and managing care plans tailored to diverse needs of children or residents. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising teams of staff members effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. Prior experience in long-term care settings or retirement homes adds valuable insight into senior care principles applicable in multi-generational programs. Competence in budgeting, operations management, social work principles, and financial acumen ensures smooth facility functioning.
