Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced In-Home Nanny & Household Assistant to provide primary care for our infant beginning at approximately 3 months of age. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, attentive to developmental milestones, and comfortable balancing infant care with light household responsibilities that help maintain an organized and smoothly functioning home. This position requires someone who is trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently while creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for our child. Primary Childcare Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for an infant. Follow established feeding, sleeping, and daily care routines. Prepare bottles and feedings as needed. Change diapers and maintain proper hygiene practices. Monitor developmental milestones and engage in age-appropriate activities. Read, sing, talk, and interact with the infant throughout the day. Maintain a safe environment and closely supervise the child at all times. Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child's daily activities, feedings, naps, and milestones. Administer medications as directed by parents, when applicable. Accompany the child to appointments or activities if requested. Household Assistant Responsibilities During naps and other downtime, assist with household tasks including: Washing, folding, and putting away family laundry. Maintaining the infant's clothing, bedding, and nursery organization. Loading and unloading the dishwasher. Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen tidy. Light housekeeping in common living areas. Organizing household supplies and maintaining inventory lists. Qualifications Previous experience caring for infants, preferably newborns and babies under one year of age. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before employment begins). Strong references from previous childcare positions. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Non-smoker. Ability to pass a background check. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism within a private household. Flexible and adaptable to changing family needs. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on qualifications and experience. Paid time off and holidays (if applicable). Mileage reimbursement for approved errands and transportation. Additional benefits as negotiated. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry an infant and baby-related equipment. Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and move throughout the day. Ability to perform light household tasks and meal preparation.
