A family relocating to the Gig Harbor area this summer is looking for a part-time nanny to care for their 9 year old son. Their son is autistic, so finding someone that is experienced with and passionate about caring for a neurodivergent child is top priority. He loves music, dancing, coloring, numbers, shapes, books, and is affectionate. He reacts well to positive reinforcement and does not like harsh tones. He also likes to watch TV, play videos games, and go on the IPAD. A typical routine is to wake up their son, get him fed and dressed, dropped off at school and then school pick up later in the day. Their ideal schedule is help before school and after school, but they are open to someone that can just work the after-school shift. Their ideal nanny is kind, patient, gentle and doesn't judge others for being different. Experience with autistic children is required. The family could possibly consider a nanny who brings her own child depending on the age and specifics. Responsibilities include childcare, child meal prep and transportation.
