The Family:
This thoughtful and welcoming Kirkland family is excited to welcome a new nanny after their current nanny accepted an opportunity to relocate out of state. They greatly valued the relationship they built with her and are looking forward to finding another long-term caregiver who will become an important part of their children's lives. The family practices a respectful, child-centered parenting philosophy and is seeking a nanny who genuinely enjoys building meaningful relationships with young children through engaged, responsive care. They have two wonderful children—a creative and curious 4-year-old and an energetic 18-month-old toddler—who thrive with a caregiver who is warm, attentive, and fully present throughout the day. Their oldest child loves drawing, building, pretend play, reading, asking questions, and staying active. She experiences big feelings from time to time and responds best to a caregiver who acknowledges her emotions with patience, empathy, and respect. She is also allergic to peanuts, pecans, and walnuts, so the family is looking for someone who takes allergy safety seriously and is committed to maintaining a safe environment. Their youngest child is happy, determined, and constantly on the move. He loves following his older sister's lead and eagerly explores everything around him. The family is looking for a nanny who enjoys this active stage of development and provides attentive, safety-focused supervision while encouraging curiosity and confidence. The parents place a strong emphasis on safety, respectful communication, emotional awareness, and consistency. They value a nanny who listens to children, supports their development through meaningful interaction, and approaches each day with patience, thoughtfulness, and genuine engagement. One parent works from home approximately one day each week but intentionally provides the nanny with the space and autonomy to manage the children's day independently. The parents believe in open communication, mutual respect, and building a collaborative relationship with their nanny. They recognize the important role a nanny plays in their children's lives and hope to find someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of their family.
