Verona, Wisconsin Schedule:
Monday-Friday, afternoons | Approximately 20 hours per week
Typical Hours:
Flexible afternoon schedule between 12:00 PM-5:00 PM, approximately 4 hours per day

Compensation:
$30-$35 per hour, gross

None A warm, thoughtful family in Verona, Wisconsin is seeking a kind, energetic, and nurturing Family Assistant/Nanny to support their household and two young children. This is a part-time afternoon role ideal for someone who enjoys working with toddlers, bringing creativity and calm into the day, and helping a home run more smoothly. The family values quality time, communication, empathy, humor, curiosity, emotional awareness, and creating a safe and supportive environment for their children. They are looking for someone who can bring a calm and steady presence during normal toddler emotions and transitions, while also being ready to engage the children in fun, active, and enriching play. The ideal candidate will be loving, reliable, proactive, and comfortable stepping into a family assistant/nanny role. Experience with toddlers is important, and the family is open to someone with more limited family assistant experience as long as they are eager to learn, communicate well, and notice ways to be helpful.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide attentive, nurturing care for two young children, ages 3 and 1 Engage children in enriching, screen-free play, including arts and crafts, music, movement, reading, outdoor play, sensory activities, and creative projects Support developmental routines, including meals, naps, diapering, potty training, transitions, and age-appropriate independence Maintain a calm, respectful presence and model healthy communication, emotional regulation, and boundaries Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children Assist with light family meal preparation as needed Reset and maintain the home each day so it feels organized, tidy, and welcoming Maintain overall organization and cleanliness between professional housekeeping visits Keep household supplies stocked and organized Assist with online grocery ordering and household inventory Run errands and personal shopping as needed Anticipate household needs and proactively help resolve small issues before they become larger ones Assist with occasional entertaining or event preparation Support the family's rhythms and routines with flexibility, communication, and a positive attitude
Ideal Candidate:
Has experience caring for toddlers and young children Is kind, energetic, nurturing, and emotionally steady Brings creativity and thoughtfulness to children's activities Understands toddler development and can calmly support normal tantrums, transitions, and big emotions Is inclusive, open-minded, and comfortable around people from all backgrounds and walks of life Has strong communication skills and is comfortable asking questions when needed Is also able to problem-solve independently when appropriate Is proactive and notices what needs to be done without always being asked Is organized, dependable, and flexible Has a genuine interest in supporting both the children and the household Driving is required for this position. A vehicle will not be provided, so candidates must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record. Mileage will be reimbursed for work-related driving. The family may also be open to occasional travel support in the future to assist with childcare while on vacation, though this is not expected to be a major part of the role at this time.
