DESTINY CHURCH
is a spirit-filled, pentecostal church located in Daphne, AL. We are a smaller congregation; 19 years old, great facility with a Day Care; located near 3 public schools. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Pastor / Admin Assistant to lead and nurture the spiritual growth of children within our community. This dynamic role combines hands-on ministry with administrative support, ensuring that our children's programs are engaging, well-organized, and impactful. The ideal candidate will be energetic, compassionate, and possess strong leadership and communication skills to inspire young minds and support the overall mission of our church. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while supporting the operational needs of our children's ministry. Duties Develop and implement engaging children's ministry programs that promote spiritual growth, learning, and fun. Lead weekly children's church services and special events with enthusiasm and creativity. Build relationships with families. Coordinate volunteer teams, including recruiting, training, and supervising leaders to ensure smooth program operations. Plan and organize community outreach events, holiday celebrations, and fundraising activities to support children's programs. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, correspondence, and maintaining program materials. Offer support in bereavement situations or hospice care scenarios involving families within the congregation or community. Experience Previous experience working with children in a church or educational setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor young people and volunteers effectively. Strong communication skills for engaging children, parents, volunteers, and church staff clearly and compassionately. Experience in event planning, including organizing church functions or community outreach initiatives. Knowledge of Christian counseling principles and social work practices related to child development is advantageous.
