Ministry Staff, Full Time, E-1 Exempt Position Summary In line with the Creekside mission and vision (www.creeksideeg.com), this position is the Ministry Lead for the entire Student Ministry Team serving 7 th -12 th grade Students and their Families. Assist in the equipping of families, volunteers, and students to be more fully devoted followers of Jesus (Acts 2:42-47 & Eph. 4:11-16). This ministry will create and sustain a thriving ministry where every student feels welcome, loved and nurtured and their parents participate in the ministry and are encouraged as the primary faith-trainer of their children. Responsibilities Shepherd and nurture students and leaders by actively fostering discipleship relationships, being a primary point of contact, and lead events that build community. Participate in the spiritual encouragement and development of students and leaders through the teaching of God's word and cultivating spiritually engaging environments through all Student Ministry programming (Sundays, LifeGroups, events, etc.). Provide oversight to the administration of all Student Ministry communication and activities (including events, camps, summer activities, parent meetings, etc.). Equip and encourage the parents through training, material, ministry involvement and clear communication and planning. Assist in the creation of event promotional material for print, social media posts, and parent communication. Aid in creative and clear communication with participating students, families, and volunteer leaders about ongoing activities/opportunities. Creatively pursue means of serving on local school campuses (through FCA, YoungLife, Christian clubs, subbing, coaching, etc.). Fulfill other duties as needed pertaining to overall Creekside pastoral care. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and motivate paid and volunteer leaders for the work of ministry. Oversee the overall mission and strategy implementation for Creekside's Student Ministry among all people involved. Provide oversight and direct management of Junior High Pastor and programs. Perform all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Creekside's policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Meet the character standards as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:2-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:2-3 Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in education, ministry, or other fields relating to leadership. Seminary degree preferred. Ministry Experience 5 years' experience in children's or student ministry and/or planning and organizing events. History of leadership, relational development, and disciple making. Management/Supervisory Experience At least 3 years of managing/supervising experience. Experience in leading a volunteer team(s). Skills Ability to participate in the leadership of spiritual growth in others. Strong Christlike leadership skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with emphasis on planning and development. Ability to manage, develop, and effectively lead teams of staff and volunteers. Highly adaptable and resourceful in changing circumstances.
