Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Pastor with a minimum of 3 years associate experience to join our growing and vibrant non-denominational faith community in Southern Colorado . In this vital role, you will serve as a spiritual leader, providing guidance, support, and inspiration to congregation members in preparation to eventually step into the position of lead pastor. Your energetic approach will foster a welcoming environment where faith, fellowship, and service flourish. You will play a key role in nurturing spiritual growth, leading worship services, and engaging with the community through outreach and mentoring initiatives especially through our thriving sports ministry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by embodying compassion, leadership, and Christian values to grow the kingdom of God by making disciple-making disciples. Duties Deliver engaging sermons that teach the truth of God's Word Provide pastoral care and counseling, including bereavement support and crisis intervention for individuals and families Organize and facilitate community events, prayer groups, Bible studies, and outreach programs Offer Christian counseling to support spiritual development and personal challenges Mentor church members of all ages, fostering leadership and spiritual maturity Lead public speaking engagements and presentations to promote church activities and faith-based initiatives Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to plan events, manage conflict resolution, and ensure smooth operations within the congregation Requirements Proven pastoral experience in teaching, public speaking, or leading religious services within a Christian setting Strong communication skills with the ability to connect authentically with diverse audiences Excellent writing skills for preparing sermons, newsletters, and educational materials Demonstrated leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring others and fostering community engagement Knowledge of bereavement support, hospice care principles, Christian counseling techniques, and crisis management strategies Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality Skills in event planning, conflict management, crisis intervention, and public presentation are highly desirable Join us in this rewarding role where your energy fuels spiritual growth and your leadership inspires positive change. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
