POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Youth Leader and Pastoral Care Part-Time or Full-Time -- Compensation Negotiable Based on Experience About Joy Fellowship Ministries Joy Fellowship Ministries is a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church in Crestview, Florida. We are led by God's Spirit with a hunger and thirst for God's Word and a love for the lost and hurting. We gather every Sunday at 10:00 AM for worship and mid-week in homes and at the church on Wednesday evenings. Our church congregation is currently at 100 people. Position Overview Joy Fellowship Ministries is seeking a Spirit-filled, servant-hearted youth leader/pastoral care assistant to come alongside our Senior Elder in shepherding and caring for the body of Christ. This role is both pastoral and relational — calling for someone with a genuine love for people, a commitment to prayer, and a heart for the next generation. The position may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on the candidate's availability and experience, with compensation negotiated accordingly. Key ResponsibilitiesYouth Ministry Leadership Lead and develop the church's Youth Ministry for middle and high school students Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging weekly youth meetings, events, and retreats Recruit, train, and disciple youth volunteers and student leaders Partner with parents to support the spiritual development of young people in the home Build relationships with youth that encourage long-term commitment to Christ and the local church Coordinate youth participation in broader church life, service, and outreach Pastoral Care Assist the Senior Elder in providing care for the congregation Visit and pray with the sick, homebound, and those in need of pastoral support Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to members Serve as a spiritual resource and point of contact for members between Sunday services Congregational Support & Ministry Preach and teach as opportunities arise in Sunday services, Wednesday meetings, and Life Groups Support new member integration and follow-up with visitors Recruit and support volunteers Represent Joy Fellowship with integrity in the community and in outreach efforts Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Full agreement with and commitment to all tenets of faith as stated by Joy Fellowship Ministries (see below) Active, full-time membership in the Joy Fellowship body — this position requires the candidate to be fully planted in our local church Demonstrated experience in youth ministry leadership and spiritual mentoring Strong relational skills with a heart to care for God's people of all ages Three (3) pastoral or ministry character references required Preferred (Not Required) Degree in Pastoral Studies, Theology, Ministry Leadership, or a related field If married; a candidate the candidate's wife should share his faith and his vision for ministry Prior experience serving in an youth leader or staff pastoral role Our Statement of Faith All candidates must be in full agreement with Joy Fellowship Ministries' Statement of Faith.

Compensation & Structure Compensation is negotiable and will be determined based on the candidate's level of experience, qualifications, and whether the role is structured as part-time or full-time.
