Provides regular and consistent spiritual care to patients and their families, regardless of faith, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, social or financial status. Engages fully in learning and ministry, maintaining investment in personal growth and the art and skill of spiritual care giving. Utilizes knowledge of growth, development, and skills for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric care for clinical spiritual ministry and leadership. Works closely with nursing and other care team members to discuss patient care issues and provide support during personal and/or spiritual crises. Takes on-duty and on-call responsibilities as assigned, communicating professionally with others regarding any necessary schedule changes. Conducts devotional services and chapel services as assigned. Makes routine spiritual care contacts, connects with pre-surgery patients, nursing units, and responds to crisis calls appropriately and in a timely manner when on duty. Performs duties and spiritual care ministry in compliance with the Policies for the Department of Pastoral Education, Department of Mission and Ministry, and the Department of Spiritual Care. Maintains communication, collaboration, and accountability with leaders in the Department of Spiritual Care. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
