Job Description
Gateway Baptist Church of Lake City, Florida is seeking a Senior Pastor to be a shepherd for our multi-generational fellowship of 150-200, with a desire and an expectation to grow. There is a church staff that includes an Associate Pastor of Student Ministries, a Ministry Assistant, as well as a leadership team of volunteers from the congregation. Qualifications
- Embodies the qualities of a Holy-Spirit filled leader
- Fully committed disciple of Christ
- Faithful to God's Word
- Affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
- Preferably holds a degree from a Southern Baptist Theological Seminary or a comparable degree from an accredited, conservative, evangelical institution.
- We anticipate approximately 5 years of comparable pastoral experience (preferred). Responsibilities
- Endeavor to know the hearts of the congregation and minister to them.
- Lead and wisely delegate responsibilities to team members and ministry leaders for growth, evangelical endeavors, and missions.
- Prepare and deliver God inspired, Biblically based, sermons for worship services.
- Provide supervision for church staff and technical resources being utilized.
- Be a transparent and an active member of the congregation and receptive to sound wisdom. Salary
