  • Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and Spirit-led bilingual Pastor to Children and Families to lead GracePointe's ministry to children from birth through 6th grade and their families.
This vital role involves developing engaging, faith-based programs rooted in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, providing compassionate pastoral care, and creating a warm and welcoming environment where children and families can encounter God, grow together, and be empowered for life. The ideal candidate is energetic, relational, and proactive, someone who loves kids, connects well with parents, and is committed to making disciples in every stage of childhood. Duties Develop and implement dynamic children's ministry programs, including Sunday School, Children's Church, midweek programming, and Bible Quizzing, that promote biblical literacy, spiritual formation, and a love for Christ. Provide pastoral care to children and their families, including intentional outreach, hospital visits, birthday recognition, and personal follow-up with new and returning families. Plan and lead seasonal and special events (Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, VBS, Children's Crusade, Summer Activities) that serve as both fellowship opportunities and entry points for new families. Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers and ministry leaders within the children's ministry, building a strong and faithful team. Collaborate with church staff to coordinate worship services, holiday celebrations, and church-wide events that are age-appropriate and family-friendly. Mentor parents and caregivers by offering guidance on faith-based parenting and connecting families to the broader life of the church. Ensure every child has the opportunity to accept Christ as their personal Savior and is prepared for baptism and church membership. Oversee children's ministry budgeting and curriculum selection, maintaining responsible stewardship of church resources. Experience Proven experience working with children in a ministry, religious, or educational setting, with demonstrated leadership ability. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. Background in children's ministry, Christian education, or a related field; Church of the Nazarene experience or credentialing a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, plan engaging events, and lead volunteers across diverse age groups within a faith community. Excellent relational and communication skills, able to connect meaningfully with children, parents, volunteers, and church staff. Experience mentoring families and guiding them through life's challenges with compassion, prayer, and spiritual support. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple ministry areas simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the congregation. Join us in making a lasting impact on the next generation, helping children and families encounter God's unconditional love, grow in Christlikeness, and become active members of the GracePointe community!
