20 hours/week | $22.00/hour
Position Summary:
Assists staff, lay leadership, and volunteers to cultivate a spirit of authentic worship, including: musical worship leadership, creative direction, and tech ministry oversight. This role includes training & developing volunteers and regular preparation that cultivates cooperation amongst ministry areas and actualizes the vision of Peace Church.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Participate in leadership of contemporary worship services through intentional planning, clear direction, and relational leadership Recruit, develop, and nurture individuals with vocal & instrumental talents Coordinate & provide music and creative worship elements for contemporary service & special events, such as funerals, weddings, holidays, etc. Participate in weekly rehearsal with music team Coordinate with Pastor and Worship Planning Team to develop and create meaningful, authentic experiences of worship Recruits and trains volunteers for tech-related ministry areas Provide guidance, insight, research, and appropriate sourcing for all tech-related repairs, installations, and upgrades Maintains operating budget for Worship Ministry and monitors expenditures in collaboration with the Pastor Through relational leadership, be available for connecting with visitors and congregation members on Sunday mornings before and after service Assist in the development and set up of any staging elements, specific lighting, or additional audio needs Regular assessment and management of the worship stage area and tech booth, including clean-up of equipment, cables, etc.
Additional Staff Responsibilities:
Attends and participates in weekly worship planning meetings Attends and participates in regular one-on-one meetings with Pastor Attends and participates in general Peace Church events, outreach, Staff development opportunities, when available Is welcome to attend monthly Church Council meeting, if and when available Receives an annual review by
Pastor Qualifications and Needed Skills:
A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ Sound basis of Biblical knowledge and heart for discipleship Committed to vision, values and beliefs of the church Organized and able to coordinate multiple projects/priorities simultaneously High level knowledge of all tech-related presentation software and audio equipment
Team-oriented:
able to work with staff, church leaders, committees and volunteers Willingness to be responsive to deadlines and schedule commitments Outgoing and friendly Honest, open, accepting, trustworthy Strong problem-solving skills and effective balancing of multiple points of view Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Strong musical skills, both vocal and instrumental Broad knowledge of Christian music Strong organizational skills
Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
