A Religious Leader or Professional leads religious services and provides spiritual guidance or counseling. Presents knowledge and interpretation of theological texts. May work in a non-denominational setting like a prison or hospital, or work for specific faith-based congregation or denomination and follow the practices of that faith.
Provide leadership and creative direction for all worship at Peace Church, cultivating meaningful, authentic, and engaging experiences across both Traditional and Contemporary styles. This position oversees the planning and execution of worship services, develops musicians and volunteers, provides oversight and leadership over worship technology and production, and works with the Lead Pastor and other ministry leaders to further the vision of Peace Church.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee worship services on Sunday mornings through intentional planning, clear direction, and authentic, relational leadership Provide primary up-front leadership for contemporary worship Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and volunteers in the development of meaningful and cohesive worship experiences across both styles of worship Select and prepare music weekly, maintaining musical resources such as SongSelect, MultiTracks, and Planning Center Online for rehearsals and worship Coordinate worship elements, service flow, and special elements in Planning Center Manage the scheduling of all roles and responsibilities related to worship & special events through Planning Center Provide leadership for special services and major worship experiences, including Advent/Christmas, Holy Week, funerals, weddings, and other services as needed Recruit, develop, and nurture individuals with vocal & instrumental talents Maintain clear and consistent communication with worship team members Conduct and lead weekly rehearsals Meet with Worship Producer to ensure consistency in worship quality & tech needs Oversee the development, recruitment, and training of tech ministry areas Provide guidance, insight, research, and appropriate sourcing for all tech-related repairs, installations, and upgrades Maintain Operating Budget for Worship Ministry and monitor expenditures in collaboration with the Pastor Through relational leadership, be available for connecting with visitors and congregation members on Sunday mornings Assist in the development and set up of any staging elements, specific lighting, or additional audio needs Regular assessment and management of the worship stage area and tech booth, including clean-up of equipment, cables, etc.
