Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Youth Ministry Director to lead and inspire our youth community within a vibrant faith-based organization. The Youth Ministry Director will develop a team of volunteers to engage in discipling young people grades 6-12. This Director will build relationships with youth, families, and volunteers in a way that facilitates faith formation along with leadership development. Vision Offer opportunities through teaching, service, and relationship building for children, youth, and families to grow in faith. Develop an existing group of volunteers to strengthen ministry offerings for children and youth. Essential Functions Recruit, lead, and invest in a team of volunteers to facilitate weekly programming for children and youth. Offer experiences like Mission Camp, Vacation Bible School, confirmation, etc. where children and youth experience God. Disciple the youth, and volunteers through prayer, fellowship, study, accountability, and service. Coordinate with the Lead Pastor about content for children and youth that aligns with Methodist/Wesleyan theology. Build upon the existing intergenerational culture of the church. Attend team meetings and contribute to collective ministry. Must be 3 years older than students; preferred age 25 for van rentals. Abide by the staff covenant. Metrics of Success A strong and energized group of volunteers. Children and youth growing in their faith and knowledge. Growing attendance at weekly programming.
