REPORTS TO FAMILY LIFE PASTOR THE OPPORTUNITY

The vision of Family Life Ministry at Cornerstone Family Church is to help children, students, young adults, and families Pursue Jesus and Build Community. Warehouse is our healthy and growing middle and high school ministry, built around biblical teaching, small groups, strong relationships, and an engaged volunteer team. The next Student Pastor will build on that foundation and help lead the ministry into its next season.

THE ROLE

The Student Pastor provides spiritual and leadership oversight for Warehouse, working closely with the Family Pastor, Family Life staff, and volunteer team. This role offers meaningful ownership, leadership, and creativity within the shared vision and direction of Family Life Ministry.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAD

Lead Warehouse on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights as one unified student ministry. Recruit, train, shepherd, encourage, and develop adult volunteers and small group leaders. Build meaningful relationships with students and provide biblical teaching, prayer, pastoral care, and spiritual guidance. Help students develop a strong biblical foundation, grow in their faith, build genuine Christian community, serve, and share their faith. Develop and equip communicators who can teach biblical truth clearly and effectively. Partner and communicate with parents while providing pastoral support when appropriate. Provide leadership and oversight for ministry planning and administrative systems, working with Family Life staff support where appropriate. Oversee key ministry details including schedules, attendance, registrations, budgets, communication, safety, and weekly readiness. Develop summer, outreach, and seasonal opportunities that support Warehouse's relational and discipleship-focused approach. Provide support and pastoral guidance to the Young Adult Ministry while working alongside existing leaders. Participate in the broader pastoral life of Cornerstone Family Church, including occasional church-wide ministry and congregational care opportunities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a growing, spiritually mature relationship with Him. Current or recent paid church staff experience with direct leadership responsibility in middle and/or high school Student Minsity. 3-5 years of demonstrated student ministry leadership experience preferred, with a proven ability to lead volunteers, disciple students, partner with parents, and work effectively within a pastoral staff team. Agreement with Cornerstone Family Church's doctrine, mission, values, and ministry direction. Genuine love for students and a passion to see them know Jesus and become lifelong followers of Christ. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Degree in Bible, theology, ministry, Christian leadership, or a related field strongly preferred. Candidates with a degree in another field should demonstrate substantial formal biblical and theological training and strong biblical competency. Demonstrated ability to recruit, shepherd, develop, and empower adult volunteers. Strong leadership, communication, organization, planning, and follow-through skills. Ability to teach Scripture clearly, biblically, relationally, and in a way that connects with students. Collaborative, humble, teachable, dependable, emotionally mature, flexible, accountable, and team-oriented.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $57,000-$67,000. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement benefits. Paid vacation and sick days. Professional development, ministry training, books, resources, and continuing education support as appropriate. Normal workweek is Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Flexibility is expected for occasional special events and other evening or weekend ministry responsibilities. The role may develop over time as ministry needs and opportunities grow.
