Freedom Church is an Assemblies of God congregation located in the capital city of the State of Florida, Tallahassee, just north of Midtown and on the heavily trafficked Thomasville Road. Founded in 1930, Freedom has had a long history of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in our region and is presently comprised of 300+ congregants on a regular basis.

Job Summary:
The Director of Ministries and Operations is the leader responsible for overseeing, organizing, and strengthening all ministries so they work together to fulfill the church s mission and vision while also ensuring that the operations of the church including finances, administration, and facilities are optimized. This position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
Qualifications:
Must be a Licensed or Ordained Assemblies of God Minister Must have 5+ years of experience in church administration Must have strong interpersonal skills Must have strong organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee All Ministries Ministries include but are not limited to: Hospitality, Ushers, Security, Women s Ministry, Freedom Saints, Youth, Children, etc. Ensure every ministry is healthy, effective, and aligned with the church s mission Lead and support ministry leaders Ensure unity across ministries 2. Develop and Resource Leaders Raise up and mentor ministry leaders Create leadership pipelines Equip volunteers to grow into leadership roles 3. Strengthen Ministry Systems Build simple, effective structures Improve communication and organization Help ministries run smoothly week-to-week 4. Execute the Vision Take the Lead Pastor s vision and implement it through ministries Help each ministry understand their role in the bigger picture 5. Monitor Health & Growth & Problem Solve Watch for burnout, gaps, or unhealthy patterns Evaluate what s working and what s not Help ministries grow spiritually and numerically Step in when ministries struggle Provide guidance, structure, and direction Help relaunch or refocus when needed 6. Oversee Administrative Functions of the Church Finance - With the support of the Financial Bookkeeper, function as financial manager to ensure all the church s financial matters are tended to appropriately; monitor, analyze, and effectively share budgetary information Administration - Provide leadership and oversight to all the church s administrative staff and functions, with direct supervisory responsibility for members of the administrative staff. Function as the Human Resources Manager to ensure all the church s personnel matters are properly addressed and as the Information Technology leader, ensuring the church s technology needs are up and running effectively Facilities Management - Ensure the building is always ready for all ministries Other related duties as determined by the
Lead Pastor Required Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc Exposure to accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) Exposure to Planning Center Basic IT competency with a willingness to learn more about webpage maintenance and design
