• PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Participates in and conducts worship on a daily basis or as needed.

Performs other religious ceremonies and makes initial visits to new patients and additional visits as required. Provides guidance to families, patients and staff in response to medical/ethical concerns or issues. Provides religious support and consolation to patients, their families and other employees. Conducts religious services as reuqested. Particiapates in educational, departmental and/or community programs and support groups. Assists in developing and/or providing instructional and supportive programs for patients, families and staff. Provides other services as needed. Must be certified, or eligible for certification, as a Board Certified Chaplain by and in good standing with a national chaplaincy certifying body, such as the Spiritual Care Association, Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Jewish Chaplains, , etc. Masters in Divinity

• LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
