Full Time Church / Organization Information Memorial Christian Church We are open to new ideas and ways to reach out and make a difference for Christ. MCC has its roots in the days of the Civil War in the mid 1860's. The current church building was dedicated in 1897 and has been expanded and remodeled several times. Our last two ministers faithfully served the church 16 and 17 years. We currently have a few children and pre-teens who attend occasionally. Our minister and church are assisted by a team of elders, deacons, ministry teams, praise team, secretary and youth director. Regularly scheduled Sunday activities include SS, fellowship, worship, children's church, evening Bible study and weekly Women's Together Bible study. Yearly activities include Sunday fellowship meals, celebration of special days/events, annual block party, game nights and trunk or treat. I addition to supporting several local programs such as the local food pantry, back to school supplies we also support through missions Springfield, IL inner city mission, Central Christian College of the Bible Moberly, MO, Oblong Christian Children's Home, several foreign missionaries and our local church camp. Annual church budget is $110,000 with 4-bedroom parsonage available. Our challenges are plentiful but look forward to bright future for Memorial Christian Church.
