Job Description

We are Resurrection Presbyterian Church and are in search of a new pastor. At a high level, we are:
  • Reformed
  • Confessional
  • Paedobaptist & paedocommunion
  • Liturgical
  • Covenantal
  • Family-integrated
  • Member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church denomination We are located in Peoria, IL and purchased 905 S Maxwell Road in January 2024 (moved from Morton, IL).
The church has been in the central Illinois area for over 20 years. Our property includes ~4 acres, a building with 250 person sanctuary capacity, and a 3 bed/1 bath parsonage onsite. Attached are some foundational documents that describe who we are as a church. Our church family is around 50 members with neighborhoods immediately surrounding the property for additional ministry opportunities for the future. Due to our size, there could be the likelihood of being bi-vocational for a time, but we believe in the importance of a pastoral/shepherding calling and will work together on maximizing that calling. The current leadership structure includes two elders from our denomination serving remotely on our session and a local deacon.
