Job Description

The Citadel at Saint Anne Place is seeking a Chaplain to join their team! Chaplains are responsible for counseling and advising service personnel or patients and their family members on religious or spiritual matters. The Chaplain leads worship services in addition to presiding over weddings and funerals. Chaplain Duties and Responsibilities:
Counsels patients and family members in a compassionate manner. Relates to patients who may or may not have the same religious beliefs, and counsel accordingly. Organizes and leads worship, as needed. Performs services such as funerals and weddings, based on facility allowances. Maintains strict confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Chaplain Skills and Abilities:
Must be empathetic and able to handle situations of great stress and sadness. Must be able to provide emotional support and stability in times of both happiness and grief. Must be self-directed and able to connect with a variety of individuals from a variety of religious backgrounds.
Chaplain Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and master's degree in divinity, theology, religious studies, or a related field preferred. At least 3 years of work experience in a related setting.
