Job Description

St. Joseph Catholic Church seeks a full-time Pastoral Associate for Evangelization and Youth Ministry to assist the Pastor in fostering a vibrant culture of missionary discipleship within the parish community. This position focuses especially on youth retention, youth evangelization, parish outreach, and the ongoing formation of parish life. The ideal candidate will be a faithful and practicing Catholic with a heart for evangelization, a love for the Church, and a desire to accompany young people and families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. This individual will collaborate closely with the Pastor in developing parish ministries, strengthening Religious Education, coordinating volunteers, and cultivating a welcoming and evangelizing parish culture. Position Details Full-time salaried position with benefits and flexible scheduling. Evening and weekend availability required based upon parish programming and events. Reports directly to the Pastor. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Specific Job Skills/Qualifications Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church who demonstrates fidelity to Church teaching. Passion for evangelization, discipleship, and ministry within parish life. Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, youth, and families. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to recruit, lead, and support volunteers. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred. Experience in youth ministry, catechesis, evangelization, or parish ministry preferred. Degree in theology, pastoral ministry, catechetics, education, or related field preferred, though equivalent ministry experience may be considered.
