Description:
Summary Description This is a nine-month 80% full time position. Under the supervision of the Director of Mission and Ministry, the Campus Minister will maintain a welcoming ministry of presence at the College. The minister will provide opportunities for service outreach and spiritual development. The mission of Campus Ministry is to accompany all students and guide them to deeper reflection of their own religious/spiritual tradition within the Catholic and Precious Blood mission of the college. Essential Functions Creates an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students/staff on campus Attends Campus Ministry programs and events. Works to provide opportunities for service to the community. Accompanies students through pastoral care and spiritual direction. Supervises Campus Ministry interns and collaborates with their leadership development. Initiates prayer opportunities, especially during Advent and Lent. Provide discernment to students who seek assistance in responding to their call to live a life of holiness and service. Serves on the Mission Committee of the College. Builds relationships with young adult ministry in the
Diocese of Gary Requirements:
Prefer Masters degree in theology/pastoral studies, e.g., MA theology, Master of Divinity, Master of Ministry, Master in Pastoral studies. Some ministerial experience in a campus, parish, or other ministry type environment; ministry with youth/young adult is preferred Being comfortable in large group dynamics as well as one-on-one interactions. Be an active and visible member of the community with a faith commitment and the ability to articulate this faith to young adults, faculty, and staff.
