YOUTH PASTOR
Job Description First Covenant s mission to grow Deeper in Christ and Further in Mission through worship, discipleship, service/outreach and evangelism. We are seeking a biblically-grounded youth pastor who loves Jesus and possesses a passion for youth (6 th through 12 th grades) and their spiritual growth. General Responsibilities Teach and communicate biblical truths for transformation with a strong knowledge of scripture and the ability to connect scripture with life application for youth. Develop a strategic discipleship plan to connect, engage, and inspire students for lifelong faith relationships with Christ. Plan, implement, and encourage outreach and service opportunities for students to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Engage and offer support and guidance to help equip parents and families Lead, collaborate with, and develop staff, including part-time staff (e.g.; assistant youth director, ministry interns, and administrative support staff). Recruit and equip volunteer leaders to invest in students to produce disciples. Balance and acknowledge the diverse needs of those served by the ministry. Understand current cultural influences and pressures that students face while serving as a Christian role model.
