Job Description

•Apply at www.apply.fbcwalton.org/•The Pastor of Students and Families shall be Spirit-filled and gospel-driven to lead and shepherd our children, youth, and family ministries. This individual must be called by God and by the church, possessing a burning passion to reach unbelieving students both within and outside our congregation, while simultaneously equipping and developing young believers into healthy, effective disciples of Jesus Christ. This pastor will work in close partnership with the Senior Pastor to create and develop vibrant student and family ministries that reflect the vision and doctrine of First Baptist Church Walton. Personal Faith & Character The Pastor must meet the following personal expectations: Has a testimony of redemption by the Lord Jesus Christ and has been baptized as a public declaration of faith Walks daily with the Lord through personal devotions and private prayer Regularly engages unbelievers with the gospel of Jesus Christ Holds to the divine inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible Demonstrates a loving, Christlike attitude toward believers and unbelievers alike Commits to the church's doctrinal covenant and attends at all regularly scheduled worship services Education & Experience The Pastor must meet the following minimum educational requirements: Has obtained an undergraduate degree in a field applicable to student ministry, and/or Has a minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on student ministry experience Commits to ongoing professional development through relevant conferences or continuing education Key Responsibilities The Pastor has the following professional duties: Develops, organizes, and administers a comprehensive ministry for children, birth through high school, and their families Works under the direction and guidance of the Senior Pastor, collaborating with all church staff to ensure unified ministry Recruits, organizes, and trains teachers and leaders who demonstrate a passion and a calling to student ministry Establishes annual goals for student ministry enrichment and growth Ensures all curriculum, literature, and materials align with the church's doctrine and vision Maintains accurate and current records for all students involved in First Baptist Church's student ministry Schedules and coordinates special Sundays, including baby dedications, graduations, and youth Sunday Organizes summer ministry opportunities, including camps, vacation bible school, service projects, and outreach events Maintains an online calendar for in-office availability to facilitate meetings and counseling Conduct & Safe Church Standards The Pastor of Students and Families must exhibit conduct beyond reproach. Counseling or ministry to a student individually must never occur without the presence of a spouse or another adult, and students may not be transported in a personal or church vehicle without a spouse or another adult present. The Pastor of Student and Families must use church-approved communication tools. The use of alcohol or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
