Job Description
JSSA Hospice has an immediate opening for a PRN Chaplain to be available as needed Monday through Saturday for end of life visits providing spiritual guidance for our Montgomery County, Maryland patients and their families. Responsibilities Facilitate end of life conversations and decision-making with the family or caregiver. Provide pastoral, spiritual, and religious care to patients, family members, and relatives of varying faiths. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nurse, social worker, volunteer, physician) to ensure appropriate and timely support. Document visits within the required timeline in the electronic medical record system. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree from a theological school 2+ units of CPE required Minimum 3 years of pastoral experience in a clinical setting A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospice program Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications and Homecare Homebase electronic medical record system Possess a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to make visits within Montgomery County and Northern Virginia What we Offer Hourly rate starts at $30.00.
